Reading Workshop- First Day Jitters, Pete the Cat: Rocking In My
School Shoes, 3 ways to read a book (look at the pictures, read the

Writing Workshop – The OK Book, brainstormed a list of things we
are good at, wrote our page for a class book “Mrs. Thompson’s class is
really good at…”, introducing our Poetry Notebook, 26 Big Things
Small Hands Do, writing about big things we can do with our small
hands, Friday Journal

Word Study - star of the day, student interviews, making new words
with the letters of our names, formal spelling inventory assessment
!
Math - Chrysanthemum, comparing the amount of letters in our
names, creating a name graph, making our birthday number out of
patterned squares, creating a birthday graph, “Double Compare”, “Toss
the Chips”, Rooster’s Off To See The World, Rich Problem: Rooster’s

Social Studies - The Recess Queen, The Worst Best Friend, Officer
Buckle and Gloria, creating our own class rules which are exactly like
