April 2015
The Title V Staff continues to focus on Year 1 Grant Objectives:
1) (To) Develop a Wildland Fire Science AAS/Certificate; and
2) (To) Develop new Online Admissions and Registration systems, to include Online Advisement.
Title V Reports: First year grantees for this Title V Grant submit two reports in Year 1 to a
Program Officer at the United States Department of Education: an Interim Performance Report (IPR) and an Annual Performance Report (APR).
As such, we are working on our IPR at this time, which reports grant progress from 10-1-14 through
3-31-15. This report encompasses details on the following:
1) P rogress for meeting grant objectives by completing activities to fulfill Performance Indicators;
2) Budget report for Year 1 to date--a review of federal grant funds spent and a “Spending Plan” for the remainder of funds through 9-30-15. Year 2 funding depends on demonstrating substantial project progress in Year 1;
3) Key personnel—complete records/documentation are kept on file for all Title V Staff;
4) Internal/External monitoring—progress toward meeting all criteria for each evaluation team;
5) Title V Communication; and
6) Institutional Support.

Those trainings will be open to the campus. Sessions will focus on effective instructional tools; Quality Matters components; and strategies for online/hybrid instruction, and we will announce dates for those trainings in advance.
