These are determined by what the character says, does, or what others say about them. (350 words - 12 pt. font,

visitors. (Poster should be on a minimum of 11” x 17” paper)
4. Write a descriptive essay of one of the dinosaurs present in the park. The reader should be able to feel, taste,
smell, hear and see what you are describing. Use vivid, specific details to bring first-hand perceptions of the

from the novel to demonstrate your understanding. (350 words - 12 pt. font, typed, double-spaced)
25-Point Assignments:
1.
Write a position paper clearly outlining your beliefs surrounding the use of genetic engineering and cloning.
This will require research and reflection. A position paper clearly presents a point of view and offers reasons to
support this position. The purpose is to prove and affirm the writer’s stand on the issue. It must include
documentation of research. (4 pages minimum, 12 pt. font, typed, double-spaced)
2. Write an alternate ending to the story. You may deviate as much as you wish. However, the characters that
survive in the novel must survive in your alternative ending. The length should be four pages minimum. ( 12 pt.
font, typed, double-spaced)
3. Re-write a scene from the novel based on a different point of view. All of the actions should be conveyed to the

visitors. (Video must be a minimum of 60 seconds long)
50-Point Assignments:

buildings present, as well as the holding areas for the various dinosaurs presented in the book. The
representation must be based on the text, not the movie.
2.
Create your own film adaptation of the novel. They to present the tale in a way that is true to the novel,
while maintaining the interest of your audience. This should be 20 minutes in length at a minimum. You will
need to use props and costumes in your production.

InGen possible with today’s technology? If so, should we reintroduce extinct species through cloning and
DNA manipulation? This essay should be eight to ten pages and requires referencing ( 12 pt. font, typed,
