Industrial Environmental Management and Energy(IEME) SIG presents HEATHER LANGFORD, ’01 M.E.S. Director, LEED, U.S. Green Building Council Monday, April 30th, 3:00- 4:15pm Kroon 321 As a member of the leadership team of Energy Innovation at USGBC, Heather focuses on the interconnection between buildings and the power systems they rely upon. She oversees the Demand Response Partnership Program and helps drive strategic development of the newly released PEER (Performance Excellence in Electricity Renewal) rating system. Heather also engages in green building codes and standards, building materials and health, and technical development of the LEED rating system. Prior to joining USGBC, Heather worked as a LEED consultant. In addition to her green building qualifications, Heather brings 15 years’ experience in collaborative building, strategic planning, and organizational development. She is cofounder of Urban Green Lab (a mobile learning lab dedicated to teaching sustainable living practices), a Senior Fellow in the Environmental Leadership Program, and past president of the Tennessee Urban Forestry Council. She has held previous positions at SSRCx in Nashville, Casey Trees in Washington, DC, the Urban Ecology Institute in Boston, and Urban Resources Initiative in New Haven. Heather holds a Bachelor of Science from Cornell and a Master of Environmental Studies from Yale. This event is co-sponsored by the Career Development Office
