Podium Presentation
Combining Silkscreen with Photography and Ceramics
Sasha Chambers
Faculty Mentor: Susan Czechowski
Art
My current body of research combines the Silkscreen process and printed photographs.
My presentation will clearly explain the steps of both process' and why I feel that the
combination of the two create a stronger body of artwork. I have also been
experimenting with silkscreening on to clay to achieve similar, yet different goals. My
presentation will focus on the steps of the techniques of the outcomes of my research. I
seek to connect the art + tech fields, through my artistic process, combines
silkscreening techniques and photography. The result is delicate and complex, marries
the ancient Oriental art of silk screening with modern day digital imaging. This work will
all be part of my senior presentation for Undergraduate Research Day.
