Appointment of Chair The group to decide on new Now that Chris Jones has left Chair of the group at the next Network Rail he is unable to continue in his role as Chair for the meeting HEG. Victoria Ward will attend from Network Rail but not in the role as Chair. Updates on HWPG DH updated the Economics group on the discussions of the recent Health and Wellbeing Policy Group. Action A copy of the stakeholder map to be sent to the HEG as well as the HWPG when it is completed Of note was a request from the group for a stakeholder map showing what HWB work is being carried out within the industry and where the group sits in relation to these activities. A copy of project updates to be sent to the group The HWB conference to be held on Tuesday 3rd November was briefly discussed. All HEG members DH/ SF to ensure all HEG members are on the conference invite list. 2 Health Economics Group (HEG) should have received a ‘save the date’ but some hadn’t. Update on deliverables: 1) Health indicators The group discussed what we want to have at the conference e.g. stand for the CBA tool/ people can sign up to projects etc. The health indicators sub group had met a number of times to develop this task and the group’s presentation was discussed. DH highlighted that indicators are open to improvement as more input is sought from industry but the process and methodology are sound and so the progress made by the group will not be lost. A stand is to be made available to demonstrate the CBA tool Need to start challenging some of the definitions in the table and hold a conference call with the sub group – arrange the conference call to discuss this further. Once Andrea Bafni (Health Data user Requirements) has done her work then DH will feed that back to the group for it to be validated and to discuss how it A question was put to the group: do complements the work of the we want to keep the indicators HEG. within the health risk management ‘bucket’ that holds the indicators? Rail professionals present felt that in general the indicators were useful but that the indicator ‘Number of risk assessments reviewed/created’ could be removed. It was recognised that the definitions and descriptors in the indicators tables need to be discussed at the next sub group meeting. Update on deliverables: As the tool is almost complete the sub group is now thinking about ways to promote the tool. 2) ROI Tool Thoughts included: A stand at the conference Workshops Engaging specific groups within industry including health champions etc. that we could use to promote the tool and the way that it can help industry Internal opportunities within the group to promote this A question for the sub group is can we road test this a bit with Balfour? Can we remove the rail specific elements in order to pilot it more widely- would give feedback on the tool itself rather than the rail specific elements. 3 Health Economics Group (HEG) tool and expand the use within their company Update on deliverables: 3) Evaluation study Forward look ahead It was stated that this promotional phase could sit within the sub group for a while and then pass onto RSSB to continue the work DH provided an update on the project. RSSB would pay for the evaluation but not the health intervention for the companies. This would give us some data and info on specific interventions and tools Discussions are being held with potential suppliers. Health interventions are to be requested for support. Within this section the group looked at other Roadmap initiatives where HEG evaluation might be relevant. DH presented two tables to develop measures for the roadmap and also projects that are underway. It was felt by the HEG that the tables needed to be considered by the policy group first. AOB Tanya and Veronica were asked to identify which sub groups they are interested in and both chose the health indicators sub group Future meeting dates December 2nd 2pm-4pm @RSSB Moorgate A meeting is to be set up to understand the supplier requirements for a project such as this. Identify health interventions. DH asked to pass this table back to the HWPG to complete (strategic thinking around the group and the deliverables etc) HWPG should look at what does good look like and what outcomes they desire. The HEG will then look at what measures to use to track this development
