The role

To scope and develop the requirements for service providers to deliver against the

Integrated Supplier Assurance Scheme, re-modelling and modernisation of GB Rail’s approach and delivery of supplier assurance and ensure that the requirements are met by service providers prior to go live with the new arrangements. The role also includes ensuring that the project is delivered to time and budget

Key responsibilities:

This is a post for an experienced and talented Requirement Manager who can draft service package requirements solutions in accordance with stakeholder requirements within a rail industry.

Able to interpret client’s requirements and translate these into the commercial and technical requirements of a robust procurement specification.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain complex information clearly to people at all levels.

Task oriented, willing to go extra mile to meet deadlines and flexible enough to adapt to changing priorities. Strong time management skills and ability to work under pressure

Solid requirement gathering and interpretation skills, analytical and problem solving skills

The ideal applicant is likely to be a graduate in a commercial or procurement discipline, with relevant work experience at senior level in the rail sector

Requirements

Accountabilities

Owning the requirements developed for the new scheme.

Reporting on progress to the project sponsor and manager 


Drafting the technical procurement specification 


Planning and managing the associated work stream, including timing estimates and ensuring deadlines are 
 met 


Maintaining relevant documentation for auditing and project control purposes

Responsibilities

Be a strong ambassador for the ISAS Project, especially when interfacing with industry stakeholders 
 and Prospective Service Providers (PSPs). 


Drafting and developing the requirements for the new scheme as specified by subject matter experts, industry stakeholders, users and clients

Developing the requirement and evaluation criteria and leading the evaluation team through to contract award

Provide guidance and assistance to the project team and potentially manage queries from PSPs up 
 to the point of formal pre-qualification of suppliers

Manage the build, implementation and transition phase liaising with all relevant service providers

Handover contract management to the new Scheme Manager
