passenger and freight train operators, rolling stock owners and suppliers to the industry.

we help the rail industry in the areas of safety, standards, knowledge and innovation.
The role
This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate with operational experience within the rail
industry. You will need excellent communication skills, an orientation towards people
and the ability to generate and maintain strong relationships with our members and
stakeholders.
You will join the Rail Operations Team in London, where you will influence the future of
Great Britain’s railways through your direct involvement in the national innovation and
research programmes and the development of European and national standards.
You will be self-motivated and naturally curious with an ability to evaluate the impact of
change from an operational perspective within the legislative and regulatory framework
that governs the rail industry. Moreover, you will be able to demonstrate the capability
to author technical documents that are required to achieve The Plain English Campaign’s
Crystal Mark
