Join us in celebrating the power of books to take us all on a shared journey this Summer. We hope the experience of this, St. Ignatius Summer Read, connects us all in richer ways engaging us to explore and become a part of all the rich and diverse communities that surround us. As we come together again in the Fall, we look forward to your reflections on Julia Alvarez’s books which we call “Inspired to Act”. A Wedding in Hati for adults and Return to

Sender for children are available on line from Amazon and Barnes and Noble. Barnes and Noble is making several copies of each book available in its Chestnut Hill store. The children’s book is also available in English and

Spanish. There are also copies of the books in the Parish Library in the office for you to borrow.

Mark your calendar and plan to attend the Art Auction and Jamaica Evening on September 22 from 6-9pm at St.

Ignatius Church. A delightful evening of fine Jamaican food, music, and a silent and live art auction will help us raise money to build a park for our sister parish, St. Anne’s in Kingston, Jamaica . For more information and to view some of the gallery-grade art being offered by professional artists visit: www.stannepark.org
