Join us in celebrating the power of books to take us all on a shared journey this Summer. We hope the experience of this, St. Ignatius Summer Read, connects us all in richer ways engaging us to explore and become a part of all the rich and diverse communities that surround us. As we come together again in the Fall, we look forward to your reflections on Julia Alvarez’s books which we call “Inspired to Act”. A Wedding in Hati for adults and Return to
Sender for children are available on line from Amazon and Barnes and Noble. Barnes and Noble is making several copies of each book available in its Chestnut Hill store. The children’s book is also available in English and
Spanish. There are also copies of the books in the Parish Library in the office for you to borrow.

Registration for the 2012-2013 academic year has begun. As usual, the earlier you register, the easier it is for our office. Our suggested – and much appreciated – donation to offset the costs of the program is $ 250 per family .
Please make every effort to register prior to the first day of Faith Formation. To register, please contact Susan
Stuart at 617-552-6105 or langinst@bc.edu. All of our classes meet on Sunday.
FIRE: Family Intergenerational Religious Education
FIRE is a family‐centered approach to Faith Formation which we are hoping to pilot during the 2012‐2013 academic year.
Participants will meet in family groupings six times during the fall, six times prior to Easter, and four times following Easter.
Family members of all ages participate, and sessions are held on a day and time and in a place that is convenient to all. If you have sign up for this program, we will be in touch with you with further information. Please note that if there is insufficient interest in this program, it will not run and we will ask those who registered for it to enroll in one of our alternative programs.
C ATECHISTS N EEDED !
Our Faith Formation program is looking for catechists for the 2012-2013 academic year! Our program serves the needs of our parishioners in pre-school through high school, and our classes all meet on Sundays. We are currently looking for catechists in all levels of our program. If you would like more information, or have an interest in serving in this ministry, please contact Susan Stuart, langinst@bc.edu
