DANCING ON HOLY GROUND
EVENING PRAYER FOR HOLY WEEK - MONDAY, APRIL 14TH 7:30
All are invited to join us for an evening prayer of scripture, music and dance with members of the Boston
Liturgical Dance Ensemble and the music ministry of St. Ignatius Parish under the direction of Michael
Burgo. Dancing on Holy Ground is a unique experience of prayer that invites all to enter into the mystery
of God’s presence with us in Jesus Christ through song, story, movement and dance. Through these
different media, Father Bob has created a prayer and worship experience that promises to “move” you in
many wonderful ways.
EASTER PLANT DONATIONS
For Easter, we would invite you to remember your loved ones by making a donation to
purchase a plant in their name. These plants will be used to make the Church bloom for the
season and an acknowledgement of gratitude will appear in the bulletin.
If you would like to donate, please out the form below and return to the Parish Office by April
14th , together with your donation.
Yes, I would like to donate $_________ to remember:

be most appreciative. To contribute, please contact ASAP--Eileen Faggiano--efaggiano5@gmail.com-781-944-0720.
“MOVED TO GREATER LOVE” PROGRAM OF PRAYER
Have you been participating in the Moved to Greater Love program of prayer this Lenten/Easter season?
Join us on Sunday, May 4th, the concluding day of the retreat, for a communal gathering and spiritual
conversation. All are invited to attend either at 11:00am or 6:30 pm in the Friary Room.
BOOK DISCUSSION
On April 27th at 11:15 am, there will be a second discussion of Jesus of Nazareth: What He Wanted,

book as “the best Jesus book I know.” This book might just give you the Lenten and Easter inspiration
you’ve wanted. Please join us for discussion of “the best Jesus book" on April 27th. All are welcome.
THE FIFTH WEEK
For those who have already made the Spiritual Exercises in Everyday Life, the last gathering for this year
will be on Sunday afternoon, May 13th .

OUTREACH MINISTRIES
CRS RICE BOWL – WEEK 6: UNITED STATES
CATHOLIC SOCIAL TEACHING FOCUS: GLOBAL SOLIDARITY
CRS Rice Bowl donations help the poor overseas and in your own community. On Sunday
afternoons in downtown Albuquerque, New Mexico, over a hundred people gather in the
basement of Immaculate Conception Church to be served a Sunday dinner. Some are homeless.
Others are newly unemployed, forced to decide whether to pay a utility bill or buy enough
groceries to feed their families. No matter the circumstance, the parish community welcomes
“anyone and everyone who is hungry to come and share a meal with us,” says Roberta Montoya,
the coordinator of the parish’s Sunday Bread and Blessings meals, one of the projects in the
Archdiocese of Santa Fe that receives a portion of CRS
Rice Bowl funds.
To learn more about CRS in the U.S., go to www.crsricebowl.org and click on Stories of Hope.
MAY 4TH: PROJECT BREAD WALK FOR HUNGER
Online registration is open at www.projectbread.org. You can walk, volunteer or sponsor a
Walker or Volunteer, as a TEAM IGNATIUS member or as an individual. Walker and
Volunteer Guides are on the Outreach table and at church entrances, as well.
BLESSING OF EASTER FOODS: As in years past, we will celebrate
the Blessing of Easter Foods on Holy Saturday morning at 11AM, in the
Parish Center/Rectory Chapel (lower level). Many families of Eastern
European origin begin their Easter celebration with this custom. Perhaps
you would like to start this tradition (or continue it) in your family?
SPRING CLOTHING DRIVE:
Our annual Drive, to benefit adult Guests at St.
Francis House Day Shelter in Boston, will be May 3rd and 4th. A list of wished-for
items will be in coming bulletins or see the wall poster at any church entrance.
FAITH FORMATION
MIDDLE SCHOOL SERVICE PROJECT
At this weekend’s masses, the Middle School Faith Formation (grades 6-8) will be
collecting funds and supplies for HOPE for Ariang, a non-profit organization that educates children in
South Sudan, Africa. The founder of HOPE for Ariang, Gabriel Bol Deng, visited the class last month and
spoke about how the organization built and operates a school in a country that has been devastated by
war and is currently facing widespread famine. Middle school students will be collecting pens and
pencils as well as donations that will go toward feeding students through the school’s school lunch
program. For more information on HOPE, go to www.HOPEforAriang.org. Thank you for your support!
