A Parish Farewell is planned for Fr. Ken Loftus, S.J., on Sunday, September 14th at the Noon Mass. A reception
will follow.
COMPANIONS
An educational support group for anyone in need of healing and hope after the death of a loved one
Eight weekly sessions on Tuesday evenings from 9/23-11/11 in the Parish Office 7:00-8:30 p.m. will begin and end
with meditation, and focus on healing as we share our stories, learn to embrace our grief, cope with holidays, care
for ourselves and create meaningful changed lives in the context of our Christian faith.
A second series is planned for the Spring. Pre-registration is required. For more information, contact Maureen
Saldarini at mcsaldarini113@gmail.com
BOOK DISCUSSION
We have a suggestion to add to your summer reading list: The Tenth of December by George Saunders. This
book will be discussed in the parish offices on September 21st at 11:15 am. Reviewers note that Saunders’ stories
take on life's big questions and explore the fault lines of our own morality, delving into the questions of what
makes us good and what makes us human. The stories focus on what is redeemable in human beings and fulfill
Chekhov’s dictum to “prepare us for tenderness.” Happy reading, Happy summer.
MUSIC MINISTRY AT ST. IGNATIUS

instrumentalists to contact us about participation. Music Ministry information is posted on the Church Bulletin
Boards, as well as on the Parish Website under the “Ministry” tab. Those interested can also contact Music
Director, Michael Burgo at 627-552-6108 or burgo @bc.edu.

a nuestras obras misioneras.
