Position Long Assure the safety of children in the legal custody of Wake County; promote the health, education and

general well being of those children; and assure that children in Wake County custody have a permanent
family and connections by working with parents to safely reunify with their children and concurrently
working with relatives or other caregivers to be ready to adopt or assume custody of the children. Provide
social work services to children and their families; develop a plan of services together with families,
children and other professionals, access services; regularly visiting children and families; monitor and
coordinate services; prepare reports to the court, testify in court, and follow court orders and legal
mandates.
*NOTE - A criminal background check will be conducted.
