University of South Alabama Department of Speech Pathology and Audiology Non-Tenure Track Faculty Position for Clinical Audiologist The University of South Alabama (USA) invites applications for a Clinical Audiologist at the rank of instructor, senior instructor, or assistant professor. This is a 12-month, non-tenure-track faculty position. Salary is competitive and commiserate with qualifications and experience. Applicants with a Master’s degree in Audiology, Au.D., or Ph.D. degree will be considered. Preference will be given to applicants with an Au.D. and/or Ph.D. in Communication Sciences and Disorders with at least 3-5 years of clinical experience, experience with clinical supervision of students, and teaching experience. ASHA Certification is required, as is state licensure eligibility. Primary responsibilities include provision of direct clinical services with both adult and pediatric populations and supervision of Doctor of Audiology students at all levels of graduate study. Applicants with significant pediatric diagnostic and habilitation, vestibular, and evoked potential testing experience are preferred. Experience in amplification and auditory processing evaluations is preferred but not required. Administrative responsibilities include evaluating students’ clinical skills according to ASHA guidelines and competencies; and providing service to the Department, College, University, and profession. The USA Program is accredited in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology by CAA of ASHA. The USA Speech and Hearing Clinic and its affiliated ENT practice are housed within the Department of Speech Pathology and Audiology, one of eight departments in the Pat Capps Covey College of Allied Health Professions.
