Dr. Susan Gordon-Hickey Appointed
Associate Dean
Dr. Susan Gordon-Hickey has been appointed by
President Waldrop as the Associate Dean of the Pat
Capps College of Allied Health Professions. Dr.
Gordon-Hickey received her Ph.D. degree and Au.D.
degree from the University of South Alabama in
2007 from the Department of Speech Pathology and
Audiology and joined the faculty therein the same
year. She has served as the Audiology Graduate
Dr. Susan Gordon-Hickey
Coordinator for the Department since 2010. Dr.
Gordon-Hickey is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and
member of the Editorial Board of the American Auditory Societies
prestigious Ear and Hearing Journal. She holds several awards for
teaching and research including the Faculty Awards for both Teaching
Excellence and For Research Excellence from the College. Dr. GordonHickey has served on many college and university wide committees
including currently serving as the Chair of the Faculty Senate Salary &
Fringe Benefits committee.
