Speech Language Pathology Clinical Faculty Position
The University of South Alabama invites applications for a Non-Tenure Track
Instructor position in the Department of Speech Pathology and Audiology. The
University of South Alabama (USA) is a doctoral/research-intensive institution
offering a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs. USA is located in the
historic southern city of Mobile on beautiful Mobile Bay close to the Gulf Coast
beaches and a short drive to New Orleans. The Speech Pathology and Audiology
(SPA) program is organized around the clinical, academic and research
preparation of pre-professionals who will serve persons with communicative
disorders.
Qualifications: Applicants must have, minimally, a Master’s degree in Speech
Language Pathology; however, those with a doctoral degree, academic or clinical,
will be considered. Certification in Speech Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from
the American Speech Language Hearing Association and eligibility for state
licensure are requirements. Position responsibilities include clinical education and
evaluation of graduate students, maintenance of a clinical caseload and limited
classroom teaching. Although all qualified individuals are encouraged to apply,
the preferred candidates will have prior experience with clinical education of
speech-language pathology graduate students.
