TFL Colour Trends Autumn-Winter 2015-16
TFL has released its new TFL Colour Trends Catalogue for the season Autumn-Winter
2015-16. In the catalogue, TFL presents the colour trends for the leather garment, footwear,
accessory and additionally for the upholstery industry.
The colour trends are divided into “Wearing” and “Living”, devoting a section to each within
the publication. Wearing comprises inspirations and colour trends for garments, footwear and
accessories. The Living section features all colours that will decorate the season’s interior
In “Living” bovine leathers, with new metallic and slightly vintage effects, are keeping their
leading position in the upholstery field, but also New Zealand vegetable tanned lambskins
are used thanks to their natural grain. Referring to the colours, white leathers need to have
high light fastness and a full touch. The colours range from beige, red brown, orange, violet
to grey and green.
In “Wearing” embossed calfskin and bovine leathers are reappearing also in the shoe upper
field with a more simple and transparent finishing. The graphic style of the ‘50’s will be mixed
with the “kitsch” typical of the '80’s by combining exaggerated accessories with clean and
hand-crafted raw materials. The colours vary from intense violet, red, orange and brown to
blue and green.
In addition, we demonstrate how to achieve a deep black on chrome-free leather at lower
cost by using SELLA® FAST Black WB in combination with SELLA® FIN Black PN.
