“We need technology in every classroom and in every student and teacher’s hand, because it is the pen
and paper of our time, and it is the lens through which we experience much of our world.” – DAVID WARLICK

Think of a place that starts with possibilities and ends with victory. It’s where hard work and
teamwork come together. It’s easy to use and shows action in the simplest way. It’s a starting
point for success, and it’s everyone’s goal to get there.
That place is “Home Base.” NCDPI is excited to announce the new name for the Instructional
Improvement System. Home Base is where, with one log-in, teachers will access all the
information and resources they need to support their work in the classroom. Check out the new
Home Base website, at http://www.ncpublicschools.org/homebase, and let us know what you
think by sending an email to Home_Base_Ready@dpi.nc.gov.
