ISU to add business, technology doctoral program
AMES, Iowa (AP) - Iowa State University is planning to add a new graduate
program to its College of Business.
Officials say they plan to add a doctoral program in business and technology by
fall 2009.
The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, which accredites
business schools, projects a national shortage of faculty qualified to teach
business courses by 2008.
The ISU program will let students earn a PHD.
Officials say they plan to add three faculty positions and graduate tuition support.
They estimate an extra one million dollars per year will be necessary to cover
costs for the new program.
