6 a.m. won't be the same
What a disappointment! I opened the paper this morning expecting to see a full
page spread with headline, "Influential Iowan Retires After 50 Years of Service."
Many Iowans have depended on this man to start their day with wit, intelligence,
music (some beautiful, some weird), political and social commentary laced with
sarcasm, and news.
A 6 a.m. time slot is not the choicest time to please an audience, but Don
Forsling did it for many years along with numerous responsibilities at WOI-AM
and FM.
Thank you, Don, for years of excellent programming that mixed information,
entertainment, humor, debate and delightful surprises.
Don will be missed.
