The most economic and efficient way to transport
natural gas is a pipeline under pressure. While liquefied
natural gas (LNG) provides more flexibility than pipeline
natural gas (PNG), it bears large fixed costs
(Visiongain, 2014). Figure 1 compares the cost per
energy over distance of gas transported by pipeline
(PNG) with the one by ship (LNG). For distances below
3,000 miles, transportation by pipeline is more feasible
while for larger distances, transportation by ship
becomes more cost-effective.

Our pipeline compressor package
offer intrinsic reliability and serviceability
The compressor rotors consist of three-dimensional
impellers shrunk-on to forged steel shafts, both made
from highly corrosion resistant stainless steel.
Rotor spacer and stub shaft are not required,
eliminating the risk of failure of these components.
Siemens forged steel leads to lower the possibility that
one of these small components creates a major
problem.
Our compressor end cover is secured with bolts
whereas others compressor plate is secured by means
of shear ring design.
Siemens approach with bolts provides the benefit of
easy access of service.
Savings compared to shear ring design to open and
close end cover.
