Koster, General Manager In September 2011, the Holland Board of Public Works launched P21: Power for the 21st Century, a communication effort to provide information and encourage open dialogue on generation options for the Holland community. Through a schedule of various open meeting events and topics, the primary goal is a community that has an educated and balanced perspective of the options available for electric generation. This presentation covers many of the topics and issues discussed in this ongoing conversation, including fuel options, generation types, current and proposed regulations, district heating, transmission, the Risk Analysis Process (RAP) sessions with representatives from various local groups, and the sustainable return on investment (SROI) analysis process necessary to understand how each option will affect the Holland Community economically, socially, and environmentally in the long term. For more information on P21: Power for the 21st Century, please visit www.p21decision.com. David G. Koster was named General Manager in December 2011, and has served the Holland Community for over 20 years through his work at the Holland Board of Public Works. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University.
