Junior SAT Prep INSTRUCTIONS
Each shop cycle you will receive four SAT questions, which will help prepare you for
your test date. Students should be looking into taking the SATs as soon as possible.
Rarely do students perform exceptional the first time due to stress, anxiety, etc.
Several SAT prep programs are available, and are great options for improvement of
scores.
How will they be graded?
SAT prep counts as a quiz grade. Each week you can earn up to 8 points, meaning
each quiz is out of 8. You earn 2 points for answering each problem correctly and 2
more points for showing/explaining each problems work.
What if I am stuck?
This is a long term assignment, which allows students to get extra help on a Tuesday
or a Thursday before they are due. Remember: The person most responsible for your
learning is YOU. If you do not know how to solve a problem, come and ask!
What should I do when they are passed back?
SAT prep is the first section of your MATH PORTFOLIO which will be passed in the last
week of each term. Start creating a binder (1/2 inch should do fine) with a
divider/table of contents that has your SAT problems inside. If you would like help
