This analysis included a definition of revenue tiers, calculation of the size of
each tier and how companies in each tier handle their contracting operations.

Competitive Landscape: a review of the history, current state and future
outlook of all competitive software companies was conducted.
Technical Assessment
• Organization: the current structure of their product development and QA
teams were analyzed for current state, liabilities, scalability and technical
competence.
• Processes and Documentation: a review of their SDLC, product management,
release schedule and product documentation was conducted.

Our client selected the I-many CARS NG application to
automate their rebate and chargeback processing functions.
Mindlance resources were engaged to provide technical
leadership on the implementation project.

Mindlance resources were engaged by I-many to serve as technical architect
and lead on I-many’s first implementation of CARS NG with full data
integration with SAP. Our client went live in February 2008.On this project
Mindlance resources were responsible for the following:

Initial requirement gatherings and planning
Overall technical lead/architect for all data integration and implementation
Installation and configuration of all of their environments
Designed and developed multiple enhancements for functionality that was
not part of base product and was required for the implementation
• Designed and developed over ten data interfaces both inbound and outbound
• Worked closely with I-many engineering team in resolving any base product
issues
• Provided technical training to client resources
• Designed and created a reporting solution from scratch including nightly ETL
• Mindlance is providing one full time Business Analyst and one fulltime Technical
Analyst to provide long term production support of I-many CARS NG.

In the Medicaid Rebate area, the goal was to transfer summary level data from
one company’s I-many Medicaid system into our client’s I-many Medicaid
system and use only our client’s I-many Medicaid system to manage this
function going forward for the combined company.
In the Commercial Contracting area, the goal of the project was to transfer
contract, customer, membership, eligibility and historical transaction data from
I-many DPS system into our client’s I-many CARS system and use only the Imany CARS system to manage this function going forward for the combined
company.

Implemented a Reporting Data Store and Report Development: Implementation of
CARS/RDS and development of 40+ reports in Oracle Discover to give our
client more visibility into CARS and Medicaid data. Also responsible for
building all of the data feeds into the datastore.
Customizations: Design and development of complex CARS customizations in the
areas of contract validation and amend, accept process, contract pricing
automation and membership automation.
Upgrades: I-many CARS upgrade from v3.10 to v3.12
