Writing a short rap for the
Celebration of Champions
You have 20 minutes to come up
with a few lines of a rap/song with
your group, using a theme from
BBC Children in Need
Be ready to present to the class
Lots of rappers use this popular
rhythm for their lyrics
The last words of
your first two lines
should rhyme
da DUM da da DUM da da DUM da DUM
da DUM da da DUM da da DUM da DUM
da DUM da da DUM da da DUM da DUM
da DUM da da DUM da da DUM da DUM
Then the last words
of your other two
lines should rhyme
Here’s an example
Try chanting it to the rhythm
Can you spot the rhyming pairs?
We’re gonna fundraise with Pudsey Bear
To raise lots of money and show that we care
There’s gonna be a bake sale and a raffle too
So put your hands in your pockets you know what to do!
