Job Description Marketing Analyst Position Summary Title Department Reports to Marketing Analyst Marketing SVP of Marketing Outdoor Cap is looking for a numerical wizard, capable of analyzing raw data and providing information and insights regarding customers, markets, competitors and business plan effectiveness to measure performance and support business decisions. The right candidate will be confident in excel and databases to work closely with senior management planning and managing various marketing research projects, customer analysis, and web analytics with interpretation of findings. Key Responsibilities Analysis Provide ROI Analysis of all Marketing Campaigns and Sales Activities. Work on research projects that answer specific business questions. Work with leadership to identify new market opportunities. Evaluate market penetration for each business unit and client. Analyze Marketing metrics to identify cause-effect relationships between Marketing actions and financial outcomes to increase profitability. Evaluate demographics, prices, distribution channels, and marketing outlets. Assist in program and client pricing analysis for transactional, value-add, and strategic pricing projects. Research Conduct Market Research to analyze competitors, determine brand perceptions, evaluate market share and understand customer needs. Help develop surveys to capture Market Research data. Research Market information and develop competitive strategies with marketing director Support Sales teams to keep customer data appropriately tagged and up to date. Build insights from customer and consumer data through use of surveys, analytics, and customer sales history & demographics. Develop sales strategies in combination with sales and marketing. Generate reports that analyze competition and competitors. Additional/Desired Skills Use information obtained through research to devise and implement strategies for target Marketing, Campaign management, Marketing Plan, etc. Interpret data, formulate reports and make recommendations based on findings. Previous experience in marketing a plus. Extensive knowledge of standard research methodologies, data analysis techniques and marketing procedures Familiar with advanced statistical analysis and research methodologies, along with Microsoft Office, online survey tools and syndicated data sources Curious and interested in new ways of working and looking at things.
