DEPARTMENT OF MANAGEMENT SERVICES For Reference Only CLASS CODE: 2000 PAY GRADE: 010 CLASS TITLE: DATA ENTRY OPERATOR - F/C ALLOCATION FACTOR(S) This is data processing work keying, verifying and retrieving data from source documents within a data processing environment that has as its primary function the routine processing and output of batch computer input data. The employee(s) in the position(s) allocated to this class must spend a minimum of 75 percent of their time performing duties which involve contact with patient/inmates in a correctional or forensic facility or institution. Examples of work performed are not to be used for allocation purposes.) Inputs data by means of keyboard controlled data recording device such as keypunch, keytape or key to disk systems. Reviews source documents to determine if there is sufficient data for input. Sorts, files, batches or performs clerical manipulation of input documents. Verifies input data. Interprets data entry computer system error messages. Maintains records of work performed. Performs related work as required.
