PROJECT AND PAPER PRESENTATION:
PROJECT: Video Graphic Array and A-Scope ( BEL CERTIFIED)
Aim: The aim of the project is to display the scheme where the strength is color-coded so as to appear as a
target. And also to know whether the object of interest has been detected and to know the strength of the object.
Software used: Quartus II 7.2, VHDL Coding.
Hardware used: FPGA kit, Byte Blaster, SP card, Oscilloscope.
Description: VGA controller is used to read the image, process it and display it on the PC monitor. Basically
we are using VGA controller to generate PPI display. PPI display is used in radar systems to display the relative
location of the target with respect to radar.
A-Scope display presents the range to the target and the relative strength of the echo. Such a display is
normally used in weapons control radar systems.
