1. Luncheon with Mr Phil Glendenning
Assembly of Catholic Professionals Luncheon with guest speaker Phil Glendenning
will be held on Thursday 29 May beginning at 12:00 PM at Noahs on the Beach,
Newcastle East. No cost for ACP members, guests cost $99 (plus GST).
Phil is a current board member of ANTaR (Australians for Native Title and
Reconciliation), Director of the Edmund Rice Centre and President of the Refugee
Council of Australia.

2. LiturgyHelp.com free trial for YOUR parish
In an effort to assist parishes with access to good quality liturgical resources, the
Diocesan Liturgy Council has organised for all parishes to have a four month free
trial of the excellent liturgical resource, LiturgyHelp.com. The trial began on
Monday 5 May and runs until Sunday 31 August. Workshops are available at
three venues around the diocese on June 20-22. If you are a liturgical minister,
contact the parish office or Liturgy Team to make sure you have access to this
resource. Further information is available on the diocesan website.

3. Tri-Diocesan Covenant Ecumenical Service
The Tri-Diocesan Covenant Ecumenical Service will be held on Thursday 29 May
beginning at 7:45 PM at St Peter's Anglican Church, East Maitland. All are very
welcome to attend this joyful and popular service.

1. Seven @ Sacred Heart - Holy Hour will be held on Wednesday 14 May beginning at 7:00
PM at Sacred Heart Cathedral – Hamilton. Seven@Sacred Heart is a Eucharistic Adoration
service developed by young people, for young people, which aims to offer a different
prayer experience for youth. This month we have Fr. Bony Abraham MGL leading us in
Holy hour. Fr Bony Abraham is a well know retreat preacher and belongs to the
Missionaries of God's Love congregation in Canberra. He is also the youth chaplain for
Jesus Youth Australia an international Catholic youth movement. A light meal will be
provided after the adoration service. All are welcome.
2. Face of the Catholic Church in the Vineyards Region will be held on Saturday 17 May
beginning at 9:00 AM at Pokolbin Community Hall, 128 McDonald Rd, Pokolbin. The
Vineyard's Gathering will be an opportunity for conversations and information sharing
about the Vineyards Region. For more information please contact your Parish: Cessnock

3. "Spirituality for Ministry" Formation Program will be held on Saturday 17 May beginning at
9:30 AM at St Laurence O'Toole Centre, Broadmeadow Road, Broadmeadow. This
Formation Program is designed for lay people who are currently serving, or are seeking to
serve, in a parish or diocesan ministry position. Other dates and locations can be seen on

4. Mass of Celebration with Neophytes will be held on Sunday 18 May beginning at 9:30 AM
at Sacred Heart Cathedral, 841 Hunter Street, Newcastle West. Come celebrate with our
new Catholics (Neophytes)! All parishioners, family members, parish RCIA teams, sponsors
and godparents in the diocese are invited to join with Bishop Bill in welcoming these new
Catholics into our Diocesan faith family. Mass will conclude with a Commissioning liturgy
for them, and at the conclusion of Mass morning tea will be served by the Diocesan RCIA
team in the Diocesan Centre.
5. Eco Faith Conference - Chapel by the Sea will be held on Friday 23 May at Chapel by
the Sea, Bondi Beach. Check out the program details and registration on the website

6. Newcastle Catholic Charismatic Renewal Healing Weekend will be held on Saturday 24
May at St John Parish Hall, Dickson St, Lambton. Newcastle Catholic Charismatic Renewal
invites all people who are interested to a Healing Weekend with Sr. Margaret Scully. Both
days start at 9am and finish at 4pm. This will include Mass. Morning and afternoon tea will
