KTH Royal Institute of Technology in
Stockholm is the largest and oldest technical
university in Sweden. No less than one-third
of Sweden’s technical research and
engineering education capacity at university
level is provided by KTH. Education and
research spans from natural sciences to all
branches of engineering and includes
Architecture, Industrial Management and
Urban Planning. There are a total of 12,400
full year students at first and second levels,
almost 1,900 active (at least 50 per cent)
research students and 5,100 employees.

The School of Chemical Science and Engineering is one of ten
schools at KTH Royal Institute of Technology.

CHE has approximately 350 employees, of which 215 are

The School's research is extensive and covers a broad area
of important issues, including:
• the development of improved solar cells
• the development of environmentally-friendly and efficient
energy processes,
• design and production of new polymers for medical
application

Greenhouse Labs
Connecting Science and Industry
Greenhouse Labs houses young hightech and growth
oriented chemical companies for a limited period during their
startup phase. They offer modern labs and offices with a
excellent infrastructure.
Greenhouse Labs are located within easy access of teaching
and research at the School of Chemical Science and
Engineering, at the heart of the KTH campus in an
environment that promotes innovation and entrepreneurship.
