Purpose Statement
Conduct effective maintenance and operating task on equipment and assets, ensure environmental
and statutory compliance and optimise performance of production and irrigation equipment.
To ensure the day to day operation and maintenance of the Trustpower’s and client’s stations,
ancillary plant, hydraulic systems, EHV and civil works, irrigation work and optimise performance of
these.
Key Accountabilities
Financial
1. Contribute to the development of annual budgets, maintenance plans and schedules
2. Coordinate with contractors work schedules and plans to minimise costs.
Operational
1. Efficiently and safely operate HV transmission and distribution systems
2. Condition monitoring and preventative maintenance plan implemented to achieve maximum
economic availability of generation assets.
3. Identify and implement (where approved) modifications and enhancements to improve
efficiencies
4. Provide manual backup to operate hydro electric plant systems to meet generating schedules
as required
5. Share continuous onsite presence during adverse weather, flood or other emergencies
6. Maintain accurate drawings and, records and databases associated with allocated tasks.
7. Ensure all legislative, resource consents, codes and regulations are complied with.
