Bellringer: Translate and answer. ¿Adónde vas de vacaciones?
Objective: Students will use vocabulary in Spanish related to a vacation with visual and verbal cues.
Whole Group: T. will engage students to state a vacation place they would like to go this summer. T. will
introduce new vocabulary related to traveling on a vacation. The class will chorally read from Leccion 26.
Small Groups: Ss will write a sentence for each new vocabulary word in Spanish. Students will use iPads or
computer to assist them in translation.
T/TA will assist students in creating their sentences from English to Spanish.
Recap lesson by referring back to the objective. Explain homework.
Differentiate Detailed or simple sentences. Student leader. Adult in small groups.

Whole Groups: T. will engage students to read, interpret, and answer the first question in Yo hablo p134.
Partners: Ss will read and answer questions #2-8 in Spanish. Then take turns reading them to each other.
T/TA will assist and cue students in Spanish vocabulary.

Partners: Ss will read and answer questions #2-5 on p135 and #1-5 on p136 in Spanish.
T/TA will assist and cue students in Spanish vocabulary.

Objective: Students will create a beach resort vacation with visuals and verbally describe it in Spanish.
Whole Groups: T. will explain the hands-on activity.
*Students will use various sources to collect pictures of their dream vacation. They will write vocabulary for
each picture in Spanish. Then verbally share it with the class.
T/TA will assist and cue students in Spanish vocabulary.
