cells b/c all the
organelles have to be
duplicated (doubled)
along with the DNA!
• The DNA is the
blueprint for creating all
the parts of the cell.

• CHROMOSOMES: small
packages of genetic
material (DNA)
• Chromosomes make it
easier for the cell to
replicate (copy) itself
• It is easier to move
small pieces then a
whole nucleus!
