12. Explain causes and consequences of World War I, including imperialism, militarism,
nationalism, and the alliance system: Identifying problems created by the Treaty of Versailles of
1919. Examples: Germany's reparations and war guilt, international controversy over the League
of Nations.
Objectives:
1. Students will be able to answer a variety of multiple-choice question on a summative test
demonstrating what they learned.
2. Students will be able to define vocabulary from Ch. 17: The West Between the Wars 1919-1939.
3. Students will be able to answer section 1 guided reading worksheet (The Futile Search for
Stability).
