User Information Sheet and ID Application
The purpose of this information sheet is to acquaint you with the policies and procedures of the
Technology Commons Lab in the Hankamer School of Business and to apply for access to the
computer lab.
Fall & Spring Lab Hours (summer hours are subject to change)
8:00am to Midnight
Monday – Thursday
8:00am to 6:00pm
Friday
10:00am to 6:00pm
Saturday
2:00pm to Midnight
Sunday
Assistance
If you have questions or problems using the lab, please as for assistance at the help desk. The
lab workers are provided to answer basic questions about the platform software and to assist you
with printing needs. If you notice that a printer needs paper or toner, or if you are having
difficulty with a printer, please ask for assistance.
PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO CORRECT A HARDWARE ISSUE WITH THE PRINTERS
OR COMPUTERS.
Rules
NO FOOD or DRINKS allowed in the lab and please clean up your work are before you leave.
Refer to the Baylor Student Handbook for complete policies governing Baylor computer
facilities. The computers are the property of the Hankamer School of Business and we do not
allow you to install your own software, including games, on the hard drive. You may save your
work to the P: drive that only you can access. Saving work to the hard drive or the desktop is
possible; however, you should not expect that the data will remain on the hard drive indefinitely.
The computers are reformatted whenever a problem occurs.
Login Procedures
You must login to the network using the Bear_ID as the user name. Tab down to the “password”
and enter your Bear_ID password. Keep your password a secret! You are responsible for any
actions performed on the system under you login id. If you forget your password contact the
HELP Desk at 254-710-4357 (HELP).

HSB Advanced Technology Lab Usage Fee Form
I have read the above information and understand the rules and regulations in the student
handbook and the Baylor policies outlined above. I understand that there is a $25 lab usage fee
that will be billed to my account.
