AMONGST DIFFERENT CATEGORIES OF LIVESTOCK &
PETS.
Bull Race / Bullock Cart Race Competition
1. Distance for race 250 Karm (250 multiply by 5 & half Ft =1375 Ft) or 415
Meters
2. Width of the Track 15-20 Ft.
3. At one time 4 lines / 4 pairs of Bullocks or 4 Bullock carts run.
4. If some pair of Bullocks cross the line on right or left, it will be rejected
however only touching of line can be exempted.
5. Normal duration of race 35 to 40 seconds.
6. Bullocks of the same breed, age and size can participate.
7. Every pair of bullock will be accompanied by two persons running on sides
and one sitting on the Carte (Total 3 persons accompany).
8. Dress White Shalwar and Qameez, Paghri, colored jacket and white fleet.
Donkey Cart Race Competition
1. Distance for race 250 Karm (250 multiply by 5 & half Ft =1375 Ft) or 415
Meters
2. Width of the Track 15-20 Ft.
3. At one time 4 lines of Donkey carts run.
4. If some Donkey cross the line on right or left, it will be rejected however only
touching of line can be exempted.
5. Normal duration of race 35 to 40 seconds.
6. Donkeys of the same breed, age and size can participate.
7. Every Donkey will be accompanied by two persons running on sides and one
sitting on the Carte (Total 3 persons accompany).
Dress White Shalwar and Qameez, Paghri, colored jackets and white fleet.
Grey Hounds Race
1. Due to any technical defect during race, the decision of the Judges will be
final in re- conducting the race.
2. Only these selected Grey Hounds will participate in races on particular dates.
3. The Convener of the Committee will be responsible for arranging dog walks,
artificial rabbit and machine etc. through some private persons.
4. At the most, four grey hounds will participate in one race.
5. The distance of track will be 190 yards.
Horse Race
1. Race horses entered must have raced under rules of any recognized club.
2. Maximum age limit of racing horse should be 10 years.
3. Horse will be judged as under
a. Conformation
= 20%
b. Condition
= 20%
c. Action, Manners & Pace
= 20%
d. General turn out
= 20%
e. Body grooming
= 20%
Best Livestock Produce Competition
Animals competing in the milk yielding competitions will be subjected to 4 or
more than 4 consecutive milkings within 36 hours duration. The first milking will not
be taken into account. Only the last three or more than three will be taken into
consideration. Pre milked animals at the time of first milking will not be allowed to
compete. Each milking interval in the Cross Bred Cows will be 9 hours whereas
each interval in the Local Cows, Buffaloes, Camels and Goats will be 12 hours. The
milch animals taking part in the milk competition will reach at the spot 1 and half
hours before the competition.
Udder will be made empty twice before first milking and only those animals
will be illegible for competition whose milking standard after every milking will be
as follows:-

Competing animals are not allowed to use medicine or injection. Change of
Gowala would not be allowed unless the panel of Judges, on receipt of sick report
about a particular Gowala, allow to make this change. Similarly, suckling calf ones
applied before hand milking would remain a constant feature during the milk
competition for that particular animal. However, if the suckling calf is not used for
letting down milk during the emptying of udder, its use would not be allowed during
subsequent milkings competition. The cows, buffaloes, camels and goats with the
following standard of milk will be eligible for competing.

The milk yield should be certified by the District Officer Livestock of the
concerned area.
