• Paper jam
• You swore you hit print but nothing came out
• Save the rain forest and our sanity... PLEASE don’t try to
print unsuccessfully more than once.

1. Reserve equipment online at http://www.math.osu.edu/reserve
2. Stop in MW-430 no more than 25 minutes before your reservation
3. Please see one of our students or another member of our IT team
4. Sign our equipment check-out form

Be sure you are returning all equipment as listed on the enclosed item list

During normal business hours, stop in MW-430 no more than 25 minutes
after your reservation has ended
3.
After normal business hours, keep equipment in an onsite, secure place.

• If you forget your password,
or need to reset it for any

• Browse or manipulate the files in your home directory
• Check email using pine
• Copy files to/from your home directory
REMOTELY RUN
COMPUTATIONAL JOBS
You have the ability to remote run computational jobs any time.
• SSH into compute.math.osu.edu
1. example: ssh username@compute.math.osu.edu
What can you use compute.math.osu.edu for?
• Run computational jobs , for example, like from Matlab
• Be kind and NICE your programs or let them run flat out
What if I need graphical support?
• Windows users should use Xming (full setup instructions on our Docs site).
• Apple users should use the built-in X11 found in Applications/Utilities
