Gifted/Pre-AP GREEK FACEBOOK PAGE PROJECT
DUE: WEDNESDAY, MARCH 19th
You are going to use your imagination to create a mythological Greek figure (god, creature, hero, etc.) and then design a Facebook page about
them. You need to complete the following requirements:

Stage 1- Use your imagination to create your own god/goddess (use template I gave you in class)
Your story should be 3-5 paragraph summary about how your imagined character (5-8 sentences each) collaborated
with another god to create a geological feature. Your writing should reflect what their personalities were like, how
they may have affected Greek culture, etc. This needs to be in your own words and from your figure’s point of view
(1st-person). *Please reference the guidelines that I provided which are located on the class website
Oral Presentation – must be 2-3 minutes, you should be in character and allow your figure’s personality shine through.
Tell us about your adventures and information about your life. Explain these as if you actually experienced them.
Costumes and props are permitted but not required
Facebook Wall: Write 5 status updates that your figure might have written about themselves and their daily life.
Example: “What a day! I turned 5 men into stone today with just one look! I rock!” Then write 5 comments that
OTHER mythological figures might say about your person and their status updates. Example: “Hey Medusa! You go
girl! Those guys had it coming!- Love, the Minotaur.”
Photos- include at least 1 drawn or printed pictures of your person
Likes Section- Write at least 5 activities, songs, books, movies, etc, that your person would like today. Example: The
sea god Poseidon would enjoy the movie Poseidon because it’s about a tidal wave that wrecks a cruise ship. (10
points)
