Complimentary Buttermilk Recipe Sticky Buns Bottom ½ Cup Packed Brown Sugar ¼ Cup White Sugar 3 Tbsp Butter Cinnamon Filling ½ Cup Packed Brown Sugar 1 ½ tsp Cinnamon 1 Tbsp Butter Dough 2 Tbsp Warm Water 2 ¼ tsp Instant Yeast (1 envelope) 3 Cups Flour 1/3 Cup Packed Brown Sugar 1 1/2 tsp Baking Powder ½ tsp Baking Soda ¾ tsp Salt 1 Cup Buttermilk 1 Egg 5 Tbsp Butter Topping 1/3 Cup Packed Brown Sugar ½ Tbsp Butter Glaze ¾ Cup Powdered Sugar Water ¼ tsp Vanilla Extract ¼ tsp Almond Extract 1. Preheat oven of 350 degrees. Grease the bottom of an 8-inch square metal baking pan. 2. Bottom: Place sugars in the bottom of the pan and pour melted butter over sugars, then sprinkle with cinnamon. Place bake dish in the oven. Stir occasionally. 3. Dough: In medium bowl combine warm water and yeast. In large bowl combine dry ingredients. To yeast mixture add all wet ingredients and whisk until smooth. Stir wet ingredients into dry ingredients just until the liquid is absorbed. 4. On lightly floured surface, knead dough 8-12 times, or until a soft dough forms. With floured rolling pin roll dough into a 12X10 inch rectangle. 5. Filling: Brush dough with butter. Sprinkle dough with combined filling dry ingredients. 6. Start with the long side of the dough and tightly roll ending with the seam down. With sharp knife cut into even slices (approximately 9 pieces). Place cut side down in the bake dish. 7. Bake until golden brown, about 30 minutes. After slightly cooled remove from the pan. 8. Combine topping ingredients and melt in the microwave. Combine glaze ingredients and add enough water to make a smooth glaze. 9. Drizzle topping and glaze over the buns while they are still warm.
