Mason Road, Kidderminster, DY11 6AG Hours: 37.5 per week although would consider part time for the right person Duration: 12 months Salary: £19,500 - £22,000 Purpose of the post: To fundraise within the community maximising income, acquiring, maintaining and developing supporter relationships. To work with our small team to deliver the agreed budget, fundraising strategy and business plan. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Manage specific projects, initiatives or third party events within the local community developing project plans, monitoring and evaluating progress against objectives and budgets and reporting as appropriate to the Fundraising Manager. Support existing, identify and develop new fundraising relationships at a local level partnering with individuals including our fundraising ambassadors and community groups such as schools, colleges, lodges, sports clubs, churches, rotary etc. motivating them to raise money to support KEMP’s vital work in the community. Maximise income, supporter involvement and development. Manage key relationships within the community, developing and maintaining ongoing support. Support, facilitate and expand the KEMP Ambassador programme. Explore the potential to develop new volunteer networks and fundraising groups across the Wyre Forest. Comply fully with processes and procedures for community fundraising activity in terms of administration, risk assessment, record management and donor care. Deliver maximum donor care and customer satisfaction amongst individuals and organisations engaged with the charity through activities and relations with the fundraising team. Maximise the contribution made by volunteers in fundraising and ensure volunteers operate with and are treated with appropriate professional standards. To seek opportunities to promote KEMP Hospice services within the community of the Wyre Forest. Coordinate with other departments (Care and Retail) within the charity to maximise operational effectiveness, encouraging full participation of other staff, trustees and volunteers in fundraising activities and appropriately and sensitively seeking opportunities for appropriate donors to be introduced to the charity’s operations. To develop campaigns which promote community giving. To seek opportunities to promote legacy support and maintain a ‘in memory of’ programme. Work closely with the fundraising team and our PR provider contributing to an ongoing programme of newsworthy fundraising and services activities that translate into media opportunities maintaining and raising the profile of the KEMP, locally and regionally. Ensure all fundraising materials are produced within our corporate identity. To act as a member of the Newsletter working Group. Represent KEMP publically when required including involvement in business and community groups, networking opportunities, talks, visitor days and cheque presentations. Person Specification Experience Essential Desirable Proven track record in charity fundraising preferably with experience of community fundraising. Knowledge of the voluntary sector.
