Admissions Process for Prospective Students (A Checklist)
STEP ONE: INITIAL CONTACT

STEP TWO: APPLY TO LA ROCHE COLLEGE
_____ Indicate Radiologic Technology as your major. You can apply on line at
www.laroche.edu.
*Please understand that you must be accepted by La Roche College prior to
applying to Ohio Valley Hospital. Acceptance to La Roche College does not
guarantee acceptance to the Hospital.
_____You will receive a letter officially admitting you to the College.
_____ Once you are accepted, contact Student Academic Support Services to schedule
placement testing. Phone: 412.536.1231 Please identify yourself as a Rad. Tech.
candidate.
* You must test into MATH 1010 (College Algebra) for acceptance into the
radiologic technology program.
STEP THREE: APPLY TO OHIO VALLEY HOSPITAL
_____ Once you test into MATH 1010, complete an application to Ohio Valley Hospital
_____ When your completed application is received, you will be contacted by
Barbara O’Connor, Director of the Radiography Program, for a personal interview.
*If your application is incomplete, no action will be taken until it is complete.
_____ If accepted, you will receive an official letter of acceptance from the Hospital.
_____ If you are not accepted, please contact your La Roche counselor to discuss
your options. You may want to switch majors and pursue a different career path.
STEP FOUR: DEPOSITS
_____ Once you have been accepted by both the Hospital and the College, you
must send each institute a deposit to hold your place. Check your acceptance letter for
the specific amount and due date.
