Orange and Jared Weiner the Vice President pointed that new business areas are being formed due
to the changes in the global economy and sources of income. Orange and Weiner, who stated that
because of digitalization people live more than one life, also told that in opposition to what is being
known as true, people must not make long-term plans: “To pep up the global economy an approach
of cooperative and participative economy should be adopted. This means if a residence is large, then
a room of it will be rented, cars will be rented on the days that they won’t be utilized. Besides these
we are moving to a world where money will gain a different form, as we already began to see some
instances. It is inevitable in the near future that we enter the age of digital money. The greatest
change will be experienced in the subject of the internet of things. It might be frightning but
eventually cars and dresses will be talking to each other. In the field of health with the use of 4D
printers the treatments will be applied only on the diseased spot. As a result of this chemotherapy
may become history. Tourism industry will reach an higher level with the beginning of space tourism.

Robert Sachon, the Global Design Director of Bosch GmbH, explained the Project that they have
worked on with students from the Sezin Schools while informing about the designs of the future.
Cem Tarık Yüksel, Vice President of Unilever Turkey started his speech saying “Today is the day of
future. There is a stunning transformation going on in the world, but it is significant that this change
is at the same scale as the resources. It should be remembered that the world’s resources should be
sustainable and an ecological system should be formed.”
‘Future should be taught in the primary and high schools’
Nuri Çankaya, President of the Futurists Society of Turkey, said that Turkey will be progressing rapidly
through the developing countries such as China, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Russia due to it’s young
population and will be one of the top 10 economies with the highest purchase power. Çankaya
stated that for a better future, future should be taught in the schools just as history being taught and
they are working to make it a lecture just as in Yeditepe University and Middle East Tehnical
University: “We have the vission to make all of the students complete their education with the
attendance of a future course by the year 2030”.
Prof. Dr. Şükran N. Atadeniz, the Vice Chancellor of the Yeditepe University said that they present
one of the greatest foundation universities by means of the diversity of education and the number of
students. Atadeniz stated that Yeditepe University is the home for the futurists. Prof. Dr. Güner
Gürsoy, Head of the Management Department of Yeditepe University, explained how they are
continuously explicating how the future of education will be and how they are making efforts to
teach this also to their students.”
In the last session of the Future Day students and their parents discussed the ‘future of education’
with Doç. Dr. B. Aykut Arıkan being the moderator.
