Instructions for www.cellsalive.com activity!
Once you are at the website, you need to click on Interactive “cell models” on the left menu. Then:
1. Click on “take me to the animation”.
2. Click on “animal” cell.
3. As you move your mouse over the animation, you will see the names of the organelles pop up.
Label ALL 18 organelles listed below the cell on the website.
4. Click on the name (or organelle) to find out what it is responsible for in the cell. Write a succinct
summary of what it does on your paper in the appropriate place. Click on “return to cell diagram” in
the lower right corner of the box.
5. Color each organelle a different color after you have all your information!
6. Tape or glue in your science notebook (don’t forget to put it in your TOC).
