Job Description What We Need: Educational Game Producer Importance of Role: The Game Producer will work with the project Creative, Engineering and Production teams to create quality products and measurable results for Second Avenue’s educational games. What’s Expected: Direct the development of multiple educational games, ensure products meet business objectives, stay current with market changes, and help define strategies to pursue emerging opportunities. Reports to: VP of Development and Delivery The Basic Role Nuts & Bolts Responsibilities: Product ownership ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ Conceive, develop and oversee high-level game design from inception through to delivery and support Be the coordinating “hub” across all stakeholders for a specific game Collaborate with game designers to solidify game designs, rules systems, game balance, UX design, and mission story details. Collaborate with learning designers and SMEs to ensure educational outcomes are relevant and market worthy. Work closely with project management to ensure timely, accurate, bug-free deliveries. Work closely with Director of Research to implement user play-testing, beta testing and any other data gathering requirements Market awareness ■ Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to identify opportunities in the marketplace where a product void exists Job Description: Educational Game Producer ■ ■ Monitor competitive products; evaluate their impact on our business; identify areas for improvement Analyze how industry and technology developments will impact our products over the next several years Business Development ■ ■ ■ Work closely with sales & marketing resources from initial concept through presales and sales support after launch Ensure products, business plans, business objectives are all in alignment Work with senior leadership to ensure product viability in the marketplace Position Requirements: ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ Proven ability to work independently with limited supervision and with other department personnel Project management and facilitation skills Exceptional communication, organization, and time management skills Must be a team-player Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a high attention to detail Ability to deal with multiple projects and deadlines Qualifications: ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ Minimum four years of experience with developing and implementing successful game products. Strong background in game production; experience with managing internal and external teams. Experience with project management and budget-sensitive deliveries Demonstrable flexibility, professionalism and finesse when handling the multiple and diverse demands of a creative environment.
