The BD is a member of Trading Area (TA) Business Developers' group. Within defined part of the business and legal framework of IKEA - secure excellence in running operations by optimizing the purchasing possibilities, developing performance of the existing and finding new suppliers, participate in creating an efficient supplier structure. Your tasks will include: Development of supplier performance: Constantly improve supplier performance to create capability for long term development On every day base work to optimize costs of IKEA products Transfer Category Business Plan to operational 1-12 month action plan for particular supplier Together with each supplier set the goals and create action plan that will enhance the full potentials of the business Execute fulfilment of goals and action plans Negotiate with suppliers according to IKEA values and guide lines Evaluate and develop existing production capacities Cooperate in the product life cycle process Builds effective and actively maintains relation with supplier Is responsible that supplier meets social, environmental standards Is responsible for the delivery and quality performance In all situations act as an IKEA Ambassador Qualifications include: Material and production knowledge including cost of production within own area of purchasing Excellent negotiation skills Economics and Financial knowledge Excellent skills in working with the cost drivers in the purchasing part of the supply chain Appropriate knowledge about legal documents linked to IKEA purchasing operation Fluent in English Energy, drive and commitment to reach excellent results Sense and passion in leading business and people Capability to handle business with big picture in mind Ability to transfer big picture into concrete actions Persistence in pursuing goals despite obstacles having in mind global picture Excellence in communication and building and maintaining of relations Willingness to act on opportunities Flexibility in change (both handling and leading), being open for new ideas, approaches and information IKEA offers an exciting and empowering work environment in a global marketplace, an unparalleled working environment, excellent compensation and unlimited advancement opportunities.
