Nira Hotels & Resorts appoints Giuseppe Artolli as General Manager of
their new Italian hotel Nira Montana, La Thuille
Nira Hotels & Resorts has appointed Mr Giuseppe Artolli as General Manager of the
group’s first Italian property, Nira Montana, scheduled to open on 5th December
2014 in La Thuile, Val d’Aosta.
Boasting a distinguished international career, Giuseppe took his first steps in the
hospitality industry at the end of the ‘70s. He took up several appointments both in
the UK and Germany in leading five star hotels, including Munich’s Bayerischer Hof,
the luxurious Hotel Le Bristol in Paris and the Hotel Hermitage in Monte Carlo.
He gained several years’ valuable experience working as General Manager for three
different Baglioni Hotels. First he oversaw operations at the Hotel Carlton Baglioni
in Milan and then moved to the French Riviera, where he was at the helm of Villa
Gallici in Aix-en-Provence and Le Saint Paul in Saint Paul de Vence.
In 2008, he joined the Grand Hotel Continental in Siena, Tuscany, before leading the
opening of the five star D.O.M. Hotel Roma in the Italian capital in July 2013.
MPS Puri, CEO of Nira Hotels & Resorts, commented on Giuseppe Artolli’s
appointment: ‘With his broad international industry experience and his particular expertise
in hotel management, Giuseppe is well-positioned to take the lead at Nira Montana and
establish it as one of the best hotels in Northern Italy.’
Giuseppe added: ‘I have followed the progress of Nira Hotels & Resorts over the years and
I am delighted to be joining the company at such an exciting time to help take this new
hotel to great heights.’
Nira Montana is also thrilled to welcome Corrado Cignozzi as Director of Sales &
Marketing and Chef Giuseppe Marrancone. Corrado joins the Nira family after
developing his career at hotel brands like One&Only, LUX* and Baglioni. Chef
Marrancone, who has already worked in the group’s design hotel in Switzerland Nira Alpina - will spearhead the launch of the Nira Montana’s restaurant. Giuseppe
will bring with him over 20 years experience in the industry, having worked with
companies of the calibre of Four Seasons in the past.
Built in the style of the valley’s traditional houses, Nira Montana will be a member of
Design Hotels. In keeping with the philosophy of Nira, the new hotel will place heavy
emphasis on service, a high quality food and beverage offering and demonstrate good
value for money. Rates will start from approximately 300 euros per room per night
and it will be the only five star hotel in La Thuile.

About Nira Hotels and Resorts:
Nira Hotels & Resorts is a London-based, boutique, luxury, hotel-management company
which was launched by renowned hotelier MPS Puri, in March 2009. The celebrated launch
of Shanti Maurice in June 2010, on the largely untouched South coast of Mauritius, marked
the opening of Nira’s first property and it was soon followed by the Nira Alpina
(December 2011) and the Nira Caledonia (January 2012).
A boutique lifestyle resort on a pristine horseshoe coral sand cove, Shanti Maurice is
designed to embrace a genuine Mauritian experience. 61 spacious suites and villas are spread
across a 36-acre landscape of fragrant tropical gardens. With 25 treatment rooms, the
award-winning Nira Spa is built around an enchanting tea pavilion, surrounded by lily ponds,
and is one of the largest and most comprehensive in the Indian Ocean.
The cutting-edge Nira Alpina, a member of Design Hotels, is situated at the upper end of
the spectacular Engadin valley with panoramic views over the endless expanse of turquoise
lakes that lie along the plateau. Elegant swathes of glass bring the outside world into almost
every part of the building’s interior, while the best skiing in the St Moritz region is easily
accessible via a private walkway into the cable car building.
Tucked away on Gloucester Place amongst the cobbled streets and striking neo-classical
architecture of New Town, Edinburgh, Nira Caledonia combines the luxury of a top five
star hotel with the intimacy and peace of a cosy townhouse. Once the home of John Wilson,
a friend of Wordsworth and hugely famous literary figure in early 19th Century Edinburgh,
the 28-bedroom hotel features stunning original cornicing and plasterwork.
