Description of Business Environment:
Executes the agreed strategy and requirements to ensure the successful achievement of
overall CATT CLS Support Programme including proposals, objectives in terms of cost,
performance, schedule, risk and customer satisfaction. CATT exists at two sites
Warminster and Sennelager, Germany (soon to be Catterick) Must lead the CATT
Support Team to achieve its mission in accordance with current contracts whilst striving
to deliver improvements and value for money to the end customer Manage and liaise
with the Sub Contractor CLS team as it delivers training and first line support. Mange the
provision of spares and repairs required to maintain system availability. Liaise with the
onsite Military and the customer. Produce and maintain reports and statistics required
for Incidence Sentencing (ISC) and Programme Reviews. Jointly manage the ISC
process and meetings with the customer. Manage the processes and procedures, ESH
including health and safety requirements of the programme. The position reports to the
Programme manager Training and the team are located at Warminster, and Sennelager,
Germany / Catterick.
Specific Job Description:
 Lead and deliver the Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) element of the CATT
programme.
 Lead the delivery of the CLS activities by both LM staff and contractors; and major
sub-contractor.
 Establish productive, positive relationships, in multidisciplinary Integrated
Programme Teams, with the Customer, Suppliers and internal interfaces, to ensure
that stakeholder requirements and key issues are addressed and communicated in
order to successfully manage the programme/proposal to achieve mission success.
 Leads, advises, and provides direction to the team based on general policies and
management guidance to meet programme Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and
company objectives.
 Ensures that there are adequate spares and equipment to support the delivery of
training to meet KPIs.
 Ensure all applicable Quality Assurance and Business process concepts and
practices are developed, improved, applied and adhered to throughout the
programme life cycle. Ensure programme / proposal compliance with standards,
legislation, Corporate Policy Statements and all other required controls.
 Apply sound leadership practices to the personnel engaged within the project both on
one on one situations and through manager/supervisor relationships.






Establishing and agreeing a hierarchy of programme, technical, financial and
customer satisfaction objectives and associated schedules to successfully achieve
the CATT support programmes missions.
Develop value for money, Continuous Improvement and Gainshare activities.
Managing the ISC process in conjunction with the customer and main sub-contractor.
Ensuring that there is a regularly reviewed grass roots process/measurements
improvement programme.
Interface with the customer and other Customer Logistics Support (CLS) and
company departments to fulfil the CATT training delivery throughout their life".
Perform the above and other activities defined in annually set Performance
Objectives and strive to better the associated measurements.

 Errors in judgment would directly affect programme profitability. Ensures that
projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
 Erroneous decisions or recommendations or failure to complete assignments
would normally result in not meeting contractual requirements and KPIs
resulting in expenditure of additional time, human resources, and funds
Liaisons:
 Reports to senior management and leader on the programme for cost,
schedule and risk management.
 Frequent contacts with internal personnel, outside customers, major subcontractor staff and industry peers at various management levels concerning
operations or scheduling of specific phases of projects or contracts.
 Conducts briefings and participates in technical meetings for internal and
external representatives concerning specific operation.

Qualifications / Experience
 Appropriate degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined
education, with professional experience and specialised training commensurate with
assignment.
 Line Management experience is preferred.
 Experience of facilitating solutions with customers/suppliers.
 Understands and wisely applies business, financial, accounting and principles.
 Practical, decisive encounter management.
 Experience of product life cycle from conception, proposal, design through to
implementation and support.
 Qualified / Certified in the LM programme Management Profession preferred.
 Strong analytical skills.

Standard Job Description:
Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion. Responsible for
coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance
assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.
Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or
subsystems of major programs. Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract
changes. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work
statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of
contract. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program
review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research,
development, integration and test. Develops new business or expands the product line
with the customer. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and
schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of
resources or changing contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees
assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.
Typical Minimum Education & Experience:
Ideally require a Bachelors degree from an accredited college and capability typically
achieved through demonstrable professional experience. Will also consider individuals
