Grid squares contain either a verb, a noun, or a picture randomly distributed. Grid contents are obscured until the student taps ‘Start’. When the student taps ‘Start’ a score counter at the top of the grid begins to tick down from 10000. Students must tap the verb, its noun collocate, and the relevant picture to make a set. These three grid spaces are then greyed out. The score counter stops when all the sets have been found. The faster students complete the task, the higher their score. Students should be able to repeat the game if they wish. © Young Digital Planet 2014–Core Curriculum for English – Teacher’s Guide English to take away Audio 1: Any voice: What are your favourite activities?
