UniversalPegasus International (UPI) is a leading services provider to the Global Energy
Industry, the UK operation is also known as Pegasus International UK Limited. The principle
services offered from the UK operation includes subsea engineering design and consultancy
services, project management and asset integrity services. These include concept, FEED,
detail design and project management of subsea developments; asset integrity engineering
services and installation/construction engineering services.
Key clients include operators such as ENI, BP, Total, Talisman, TAQA, Fairfield Energy and
Premier Oil as well as installation contractors, fabricators and SPS contractors.
UPI has been awarded a substantial FEED contract associated with a significant East
African gas field development.
FEED will commence in June 2014 and run through February 2015. Work is being split
between the Aberdeen and Woking offices.
It is anticipated that ample opportunity for follow on work to support the execution phase of
the project will exist thereafter.
UPI is also confident of a healthy flow of new engineering and project work in coming years.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
Principal Objectives


Drive project pipeline design for onshore pipelines.
Perform design and analysis as directed by Pipeline Design Lead and develop deliverables
as required.
Discipline Duties and Responsibilities





Pipeline design for onshore pipelines.
Mechanical design, routing and construction considerations.
Maintain good and frequent communication with pipeline engineers in Aberdeen.
Consider constructability issues including logistics constraints.
Identify opportunities for scope enhancement.
Technical Skills





Excellent communication skills.
Conversant with modern pipeline design techniques and approaches.
Intimate working knowledge of international pipeline codes and standards.
Onshore pipeline design.
Options screening and selection.

Person Specification
Experience Required:









Must have held engineering role on; concept, FEED and / or detail engineering projects.
Experience with design or construction contractor.
Comprehensive experience in design and analysis of pipeline systems.
Incorporation of pig traps and slug catchers.
Interfacing with processing facilities and plant.
Geophysical and geotechnical working knowledge.
Familiar with installation and construction methods.
Specification of pipeline equipment.
Able to work with and carry multiple options through screening.
Qualifications & Education:


BSc / BEng or equivalent in technical subject.
Working towards chartered status.
Personnel Skills:









Display a positive attitude to HSE.

Methodical approach to work with a penchant for accuracy in all things.
