Environmental Steward Agency Project

Environmental Stewardship
Project
Environmental stewardship is the responsibility for environmental quality shared by all those
whose actions affect the environment. There are many individuals and their organizations
who have been committed to protecting and preserving our environment. Their
perservance has created an awareness and even laws to accomplish their goals/passion
and it has taken them many years to make a difference. Nonetheless, their work is
impactful. Be inspired by their stories and I hope that it inspires you to be stewards of the
environment.
Purpose of this project: To research an environmental steward or environmental agency and
determine its importance and impact upon the environment. Your research will be
formatted in your choice of layout following the rubric and then presented to the class.
Choose one of the stewards or agencies shown on Page 2 and let your teacher know—only
one person per steward or agency.
Project Due Date: ________________________
Project Layout may be formatted in the following ways—Your Choice:
· Newsletter
- Movie Maker
· Brochure
- Other______________
· Poster
Note: Teacher approval required! ________ Teacher Initials
