Circulatory System
OBJECTIVES
 Identify and investigate the general functions of the
circulatory system.
 Describe the structure of the heart and explain how it
pumps blood through the body.
 Explain the factors that affect blood flow.
 Observe heart rate and the different factors that can
affect it.
 Analyze how factors such as blood pressure, blood
volume, blood viscosity, resistance, disease, and
exercise affect blood flow through the cardiovascular
system.
 Identify factors that affect blood flow and/or analyze
these factors to how they affect blood flow through
the cardiovascular system. (ALD)
